Personality:
Kyubey's part of a race called Incubators, or "Messengers of Magic". As a collective, they've evolved beyond the need for emotions, but that doesn't mean Kyubey doesn't have a personality. No, it goes out and forms contracts with young, prepubescent girls ranging from 14-18 due to their fluctuating emotions that it can harvest as energy. That sounds creepy and it absolutely is. Especially when the fact the girls become the very Witches they fight is omitted from the intimate details.
However, Kyubey is very goal-oriented, cunning, and uncaring of those it makes contracts with. As long as the energy quota the Incubators' require are met, anyone and everyone will be a pawn in the plan. Kyubey's species views emotions as mental illnesses so they have no qualms with viewing humanity as a whole as expendable and using them much like cattle (even drawing the parallel itself). Of course, because this nature can be an issue, Kyubey has become a pretender, able to act as having certain emotions depending on the moment and willing to give some information when inquired. For example, at the beginning of the series, Kyubey acts chipper on normal days and distressed in battle even though the alien could regenerate with no problem. This behavior was only to put pressure on Madoka so she would make her wish and become the Witch she's destined to be.
If Kyubey didn't have to associate so closely to humans, or if they could be less emotional, it really wouldn't bother trying to act. Many things about humanity proves again and again it lacks understanding them fully. It doesn't use any formalities that humans do such as using a person's last name, using the honorifics, etc. Most of all, since the alien doesn't comprehend emotions so well, when the girls break down in the various timelines, Kyubey generally makes everything worse by being direct and generally honest before disappearing.
Speaking about the truth, only when directly confronted will Kyubey spill all the details about Magical Girls and Witches and it won't sugarcoat them. After being in the contracting business since humans were in caves, it found out that certain details upsets humans very easily. If this 'shocking' information can be left out, Kyubey will leave it out. In this manner, the alien never lies or tricks the girls about what they're doing or why. It merely avoids details that seems to traumatize them and no one enjoys dealing with an upset girl. Kyubey doesn't have the capacity to deal with them in such a state and will leave to find another potential Magical girl since - at that point - the girl will be on the road to become a Witch.
When the system moves from Witches to Wraiths due to Madoka's final wish, Kyubey considers Witches (when described by Homura) an interesting notion and potentially better method to collect the energy the Incubators need. This interest would later segway into the movies, but we'll leave those details for another day.
Why is your character a good fit for the setting of Soul Campaign, and what will they do once they are in the game?
Kyubey would be indifferent to the war, but very interested in souls and Meisters and Weapons. All of these transforming beings and Witches (these aren't the Witches Homura described to him), the fascination will make it cooperate. If anything, this would lead it to researching and consuming souls to see the effects on its Meister. It would also go for a Witch's soul to see its power.
List the abilities your character will still have in Soul Campaign:
• Telepathy - It's how it talks, or how it seems to talk. Either way, that cat-like grin never moves when it speaks.
List the weaknesses your character will gain (or lose) in Soul Campaign:
Kyubey will lose its multiple selves and be able to die. Once it finds that out, it will definitely try to avoid dying. Considering that its seemingly condescending attitude gets it in trouble - well, that's not going anywhere. Also, no more invisibility or teleportation. Or ripping people's souls from their bodies and turning them into soul gems.

Soul Description:
• Apathetic, quiet, mysterious, manipulative, cunning, scheming
Kyubey's soul is deceivingly white with its infamous wide, red eyes and cat-like grin on its face. It also retains its triangle ears and long tufts growing out.
Weapon Form / Ability:
Kyubey takes the form of the very Soul Gems it often creates when a contract is formed. When not in a Meister's hand and resonating, the gem itself remains white, but upon resonation, the gem reflects whatever color the Meister's soul is. Kyubey then allows them to transform into a magical girl in order to fight. Yes, a magical girl.
They'll be the very basic of basic at the beginning, summoning weak/tiny weapons to their aid (pistols, basic poles, daggers) via soul energy. As Kyubey goes on to consume more souls, the Meister can use stronger attacks and summon stronger weapons from the extra energy, ultimately reaching a "final attack" that could essentially be used to eliminate a Kishin egg in one shot. To keep in theme with the emotional toils of Puella Magi, stronger emotions can result in stronger attacks, but resonance will weaken between Kyubey and its Meister as a result.
NOTE - To keep weapon's summoned from getting out of hand, every Meister has one class. IE, a Meister summons bladed weapons, they cannot summon guns. A Meister summons spears, they can only summon spears.

Hello, Death City Guests. My name's Kyubey and I have a few questions.
Weapons, what does it feel like every time you collect a soul? Do you notice the change at all alone, or only when you're with a Meister? And Meisters, what does it feel like when you're resonating? How does that change when the Weapon gets stronger, or do you not notice any changes? For both, what does it feel like when working with a stronger partner, or can you not work together at all?
Besides that, I'm a Weapon looking for a Meister. Anyone will do.

Red eyes blinked pointedly and the large white tail swished lazily from side to side. This wasn't where it was before; how curious indeed. No Homura or other magical girl around; in fact, something felt different. Trotting around in a circle for a moment, it sat back down, finding it more curious why it couldn't teleport. Still, the mysteries didn't upset it, but further intrigued.
Ears flicking at the static, Kyubey turned to face a television as it came on and tuned its ears forward. Quietly, it made its way to the front and sat down, listening to the man named Spirit explain how this arrival was unprecedented - an unintentional accident caused by a wish. Well, that was something Kyubey knew. If everything Spirit said was true, then Kyubey wasn't able to do as exactly pleased anymore. No wish granting, but this thing about Witches. Homura mentioned this system of Witches, but they probably weren't what he had described.
"But souls are energy here..." The grin didn't change, but the wonders of Meisters and Weapons swirled. It was time to go research this and see which category it fell into. Paws silently tapped as it walked towards the door, long tail curled over its back. A plan was already formulated. Act cute and cuddly to get the information it wanted and find a human to let it reside in their abode. In time, it would learn more about Witches and Kishin eggs and this alternate use of souls. After that, the next move would begin.
Notes
Physically, Kyubey's cute and cuddly and makes a soft plush sound when squeezed. Also, human foods and warm baths are its favorite.
